Learning Outcomes
What is it?
“Weight Management” is an interactive, science-led learning experience moving us away from “fad diets” and focuses on sustainable, science-backed habits that fit into a professional lifestyle.
How long is it?
60 minutes (45min + 15min Q&A)
How is it hosted?
This session can be delivered either:
- In-person (at your office or chosen venue)
- Online as a live talk
It is highly interactive in both formats, using Slido to engage participants throughout.
What the content includes
- Would intermittent fasting help you lose weight?
- Is biology sabotaging your weight loss? The science of satiety; understanding the hormones (Leptin and Ghrelin) that control hunger and how to work with them rather than against them.
- The Impact of Stress & Sleep: Exploring why high cortisol and poor sleep can cause weight gain, even when your diet is “perfect.”
- Meal planning tips
- The 30 per week challenge
What attendees will gain
- Freedom from dieting: move away from restrictive “all-or-nothing” mindsets and learn a flexible approach that allows for socialising and work events.
- Sustainable weight loss: tools to achieve a healthy weight without sacrificing energy levels or cognitive performance.
- Time-saving habits: meal-prep strategies specifically designed for people with demanding schedules and minimal free time.
Ideal for
- Workplaces seeking to lower healthcare costs and improve employee health.
- Desk-based teams: organisations where sedentary work is the norm.
- Shift-based workforces: groups that struggle with irregular eating patterns and the physiological challenges of night shifts.
Why weight management matters in the workplace
- Reduced chronic disease risk: supporting healthy weight management reduces the risk of Type 2 diabetes and heart disease, lowering long-term healthcare liabilities and insurance premiums.
- Enhanced mobility: healthy weight management reduces joint pain and physical fatigue, leading to more comfortable, focused employees.
- Improved mental wellbeing: there is a strong link between metabolic health and mood. Stable weight and blood sugar levels lead to fewer mood swings and higher emotional resilience.
- Energy consistency: proper weight management is often a byproduct of balanced nutrition, which prevents the “sugar crashes” that reduce afternoon productivity.
