  • Manufacturing, logistics and transport teams: where shift patterns are an established part of working life.
  • Hospitality and other 24-hour operations: helping employees manage nutrition around unconventional working hours.
  • Workplace wellbeing programmes: particularly where generic healthy eating advice may not reflect the realities of employees’ working patterns.

Why it matters in the workplace

  • Mental wellbeing affects working life: anxiety and stress can influence concentration, energy, sleep and day-to-day wellbeing.
  • Nutrition is one part of the picture: food cannot replace appropriate mental health support, but everyday dietary habits can form part of a broader wellbeing approach.
  • Practical self-care: understanding the food–mood relationship gives employees additional tools to consider within their own wellbeing routines.
  • Energy and concentration: eating patterns that support stable energy levels may also help employees manage demanding working days.
  • Whole-person wellbeing: the session complements workplace initiatives around mental health, sleep, resilience, physical activity and stress management.
  • Evidence-based education: it helps employees navigate an area where there is considerable conflicting and sometimes misleading information online.
